“Man of Steel” put him as the main villain and perhaps that movie was not enough for Michael Shannon who will be re-appearing again in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” with the character. Only this time around it seems like his appearance will be slightly different than what we are used to looking at.
According to Latin Post, it is now confirmed that Michael Shannon aka General Zod will be back in the upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” He was seen in the trailer of the movie all wrapped up in a bad and being taken somewhere in LexCorp. At this point one can assume that this is probably the moment where General Zod will be getting a makeover of some sorts, as it has been reported earlier that Lex Luthor will be the reason Zod will turn into Doomsday or perhaps Zod’s DNA will prove to be the reason to create Doomsday.
New updates further revealed about his appearance in the coming movie. Michael Shannon in an interview mentioned that he does not have fingers in the movie, instead he will be seen sporting flippers. He stated that he was in his full costume and was struggling to open the door because of the same flippers that was causing hindrance to him. He could hear Zack calling out his name but he could not do anything except for shouting back and calling for help. It was only when an associate heard him shout, did the door open.
With the flippers being used, it sounds more like Zod could be sporting disfigured hands and there’s only one character who has sported disfigured hands, and that is Bizarro. Some reports have also suggested that the character is coming back as Bizarro who was a Superman clone, but was much less intelligent and worked for the bad side.
Vulture reported that Michael Shannon at one point was also worried that he could have gotten fired because he was nowhere to be seen when Zack was calling out his name. He was thankful to the craft service guy who opened the door for him and averted a major problem.
