‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Movie Update: KGBeast Is The New Villain! Callan Mulvey Joins Cast

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” only seems to be expanding itself after having introduced multiple characters in the movie that is basically being called as the set up for “Justice League.” It is being reported that a new character has been added in the movie and will only contribute in some way to the expanding DC Cinematic Universe.

According to Breathe Cast, Warner Bros. has signed Callan Mulvey to portray the character of KGBeast. The character is also known with the name of Anatoli Knyazev. It is being said that the character’s name was included long time back but this is the first time, an actor’s name is being associated with it. Known primarily to be a Batman nemesis, KGBeast is said to be a KGB assassin who has superior strength and agility. One of his major conflicts with the Dark Knight involved assassinating 10 major US figures when the Soviet government was looking to form friendly relations with the American government.

He was a worthy adversary to Batman and at one point of time, he even cut his own arm because he was stuck by the Bat rope and needed to run away from him. In the movie, the character will be assigned as a security personnel or a right hand man to Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, however, his role will be smaller as compared to Mercy Graves played by Tao Okamoto who happens to occasionally fill in as the security guard, full time driver and assistant to Lex.

Since he has a smaller role in the upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” there are chances that he will feature in a much bigger role in the standalone Batman movie tentatively titled “The Batman,” which is due to release in 2019. DC Cinematic Universe will certainly look forward to utilizing the character and exploiting every opportunity to establish him as one of the most feared villains.
