In an interview with ComingSoon.net for Tim Burton’s “Big Eyes,” Amy Adams who plays Lois Lane discusses her role in the upcoming “Batman v. Superman” pic.
“Lois is still sort of like the key to the information, you know? She’s the girl going out and getting it and figuring it out and putting it together and all of that, so she’s very much involved, but I kind of leave the heavy lifting to the boys, you know? So to speak." said Adams in the Comicbook interview.
Moreover, Adams assured that her character and Gadot’s character won’t be vying for the Man of Steel’s affection in the pic. "They always think that if you put in another woman, automatically…'catfight! “ said Adams.
Lois Lane has been a long time partner and love interest of Superman in the comics, until the new 52 reboot which made Wonder Woman and Superman romantically involved. “No, I think that’s a male fantasy thing. I don’t think that’s reality. I don’t know how it will turn out, if we’re going to be competition, but we are not in this [movie], I can safely say, and we’re not in real life. She’s just the coolest girl ever.”
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is directed by Zack Snyder, who also directed the pic “Man of Steel.”
It stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck as BruceWayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.
