Warner Bros. Read on for further details.
The upcoming direct-to-video animation takes place in the shared universe started in “Justice League: War” and will incorporate elements of the story of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Court of Owls, a secret organization centuries old with immense power and influence embedded into the very architecture and history of Gotham City, selecting trained and strong athletes taught by the Haly’s Circus to become one of their assassins, the Talons.
“Terra Nova” star Jason O’Mara is set to return to voice Batman in the latest DC Universe original movie, “Batman vs. Robin,” sequel to the 2014 direct-to-video animated superhero pic “Son of Batman.” Along with O’Mara is Stuart Allan and Sean Maher, who played Shrapnel on The CW’s “Arrow,” returning to voice Damian Wayne/Robin and Dick Grayson/Nightwing respectively. “NCIS’” David McCallum will also return to voice Bruce Wayne’s confidant, Alfred Pennyworth, while “Suburgatory’s” Jeremy Sisto will voice one of the Court’s greatest assassins, Talon.
Joining Sisto are newcomers Grey Griffin, who voiced Lego versions of both Wonder Woman and Lois Lane, set to voice a character named Samantha, and ABC’s “Galavant” star “Weird Al” Yankovic, who will play “The Dollmaker,” a Batman villain with various iterations, including versions that have appeared recently on both “Arrow” and “Gotham.”
“Superman vs. The Elite’s” Robin Atkin Downes will play as the Grandmaster, while Peter Onorati will play a character named Draco. Veteran Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy will guest star as Batman’s father, Thomas Wayne.
“Batman vs. Robin” is directed by Jay Oliva, who has directed five previous DC Animation features from a script by J. M. DeMatteis and produced by James Tucker. “Batman vs. Robin” is a production of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, set for a world premiere at WonderCon from April 3 to 5, 2015 in Anaheim.
