“Beauty and the Beast” Season 2 Episode 19 “Cold Case” aired on June 10, 2014. It was directed by Rich Newey and written by John A. Norris and Eric Tuchman.  Following “Cat and Mouse,” the latest episode  began with a desperate Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) who wanted to capture Vincent again. This time, he wanted to pin one of his murderous crime to Vincent. He learned that Cat had accessed the case, but he got to the victim’s brother first. Gabe told Ray Shackman that Vincent was the suspect. He also said that he wanted to help him avenge the victim’s death by targeting Cat.

On the other hand, Gabe also suspended Cat and Tess (Nina Lisandrello). He was first questioned by the Captain about his feelings for her. He immediately refused. He told the Captain that the two ladies were helping a fugitive. Their suspension brought sadness to them, especially for Cat who was avoiding her newly arrived sister, Heather (Nicole Gale Anderson).

Heather wanted to tell Cat that she was looking for dresses for her wedding. Cat was in a bad time as she tries to help Vincent clear his name. Heather was then informed by her sister about Vincent’s real identity, a mutated human who occasionally turns into his Beast mode. The confession was not received well, and Heather ran away. She went missing and kidnapped by a mysterious assailant.

Cat and Vincent found about her whereabouts with the help of his Beast powers. It was revealed that Heather was kidnapped by Ray. Vincent met with Ray and told him to release Cat’s innocent sister. Vincent learned that Ray got a bomb strapped on him that’s ticking already. In the end, Vincent saved her just in time.

Back at the station, Cat learned that Heather was saved by Vincent. They met to say goodbye again before he left. Cat also traced the location of the witness against Gabe’s cold case. A scared Gabe tried to scare the witness, but he ended up killing him.
