Finally, the wait is over as the star couple has announced their baby’s name. As far as the name goes, Carlton is the middle name of Benedict family, included in the names of father, grandfather and Benedict himself, Christopher, on the other hand, is taken from a character played by the BBC’s “Sherlock” actor.
“The Imitation Game” actor the married theater director in a close Valentine’s Day ceremony and announced the news of him preparing for a break as soon he is going to be a father.
“I’ve been on muddy fields and on horseback playing Richard III for the BBC and I’ve been on more flights to Los Angeles and back than I can count,” Cumberbatch told the Daily Mail. “All of that has been special, but I’m ready to have a couple of months to ourselves to prepare for the baby and do some nesting. It’s a real-life role, not a part.”
After the birth of their son, the couple made a public appearance few weeks earlier at the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party in Kensington Gardens and looked lovingly closer than ever. The actor’s eyes were completely fixed on his lady love.
It seems that the newborn baby brought good fortune for the actor as he is receiving huge applauds for his version of Hamlet and in the Queen’s birthday honours he was named a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire). It was just after the birth of his son in the month of June only. This year, he was placed in the list of GQ’s (formerly Gentlemen’s Quarterly) 50 best-dressed men too.
Well, Let us wish for the actor and his cute family to be blessed with more good fortune and always be happy.
