Disney has created marvelous and memorable characters over the decades. Indeed, the world of Disney remains incomplete without their mention since they made a huge impact on viewers. But the film remains incomplete without the close companion of the lead character that adds humor, wit and confusion in the story line. Out of so many wonderful characters here are some of the most famous sidekicks of all the time.

Best Disney Characters Of All The Time

Lumière – He is the rebellious servant of the Beast in the story of Beauty and the Beast. Due to a curse by the Enchantress, he is altered into candelabra. This character is kind hearted and extremely polite with women. He is the one who offers suggestion and advice to Beast most of the time. However, he doesn’t like Cogsworth and they keep arguing most of the time. Scottish actor, Ewan McGregor has played the role of Lumière in Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast.

The Seven Dwarfs – Snow White story will always remain incomplete sans The Seven Dwarfs. They originated from the German fairy tale of Snow White by the Brothers Grimm. Adult dwarfs as Sleepy, Doc, Bashful, Grumpy, Dopey, Sneezy and Happy work at a coal mine. They find Snow White who later lives with them.

Genie – This character originally hails from Arab-style folktale titled as One Thousand and One Nights. He is witty, hilarious and dedicated for his master cum friend Aladdin. The character first appeared on screen in Disney’s 1992 film Aladdin directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. He has been one of the most popular merchandised icons of Disney in the market. Timon & Pumba – The besties of Disney world who remain inseparable no matter how worse the situation gets. They were first introduced in the super hit film of 1994 The Lion King. A meerkat and warthog became famous overnight with the song Hakuna Matata. In addition to this, the duo appeared in a standalone prequel spin-off titled as The Lion King 1 ½.

Best Disney Characters Of All The Time

Tinkerbell – The fictional character was first mentioned in the play J. M. Barrie’s Peter Pan in 1904. The tiny magical fairy has appeared in several movies and TV adaptations. Although, she is believed to have a jealous and rude attitude but her persona seems to have been changed in the Disney movies.

Sebastian – Disney’s anthropomorphic crab who is a loyal servant of King Triton and his daughter Ariel. The Jamaican crab’s character was developed only for The Little Mermaid franchise. Despite being is scared of dangerous marine creatures and has no interest in thrilling adventures. But, he gets stuck in adverse condition to protect his beloved friend Ariel.

Olaf – The Frozen snowman of Disney has become one of the most adorable characters of the franchise. The musical fantasy film Frozen broke all previous records and became the most successful films of Disney. Additionally, Olaf gets a special place in the film from bringing both magic and humor. The character was voiced by Josh Gad in the movie.

Flora, Fauna and Merryweather – They are Princess Aurora’s fairy godmothers who play a significant role in Disney’s film Sleeping Beauty. Flora (oldest), Fauna (middle) and Merryweather (youngest) depict powers which are bound to save Aurora from the curse of Maleficent. Although, they aren’t the central character of the story but they definitely steal the show with their playful and jolly activities. These fairy characters have not been explored much beyond this story. On the contrary, several other Disney sidekicks have progressed with spinoffs, stand alone movies and television adaptations.

However, Disney fans can see the adorable Lumière in the recently released live action remake Beauty and the Beast.
