“Far Cry Primal”: An action-adventure video game by Ubisoft Montreal. “Far Cry Primal” is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 23, 2016, and Microsoft Windows in March 2016.The game has received M rating for sexual and nudity content.
According to Creative Director of Ubisoft, Jean-Christophe Guyot via Ubisoft Blog, “Far Cry usually puts you at the edge of the known world, in a beautiful, lawless and savage frontier. The Stone Age is, in a way, the very first frontier for humankind; it’s the time when humans put a stick in the ground and claimed land for their own, the time when we started climbing the food chain.”
“Tom Clancy’s The Division”: The upcoming open world third-person shooter role-playing video game with survival elements developed by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is set to release on March 8, 2016.
According to Associate Creative Director, Julian Gerighty via IGN, “Tom Clancy’s The Division” has some very specific similarity to raid-type events. Gerighty explained, “Ever increasing difficulty in encounters and missions are central to the experience but the centerpiece is the Dark Zone where you will be competing at the highest level for the best equipment in the game, not only against the factions but also against other players.”
“Battleborn”: “Battleborn” is a first-person shooter video game being developed by Gearbox Software for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The game is labelled as ‘hero shooter,’ meaning featuring of multiplayer online battle arena elements. It will be released worldwide on May 3, 2016.
“Overwatch”: The upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter video game is development by Blizzard Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. There is no definitive release date yet, it is speculated to release in the first or second quarter of 2016.
According to Kevin Allen from Kaleo.org, “This game [“Overwatch”] has an abundant amount of visual flair and it shows in the way the maps and characters are designed. Vibrant and awe-inspiring, Blizzard’s take on the aesthetic of future Earth often led to me looking over map boundaries, trying to eek out as much visual design as I possibly could. Though posed with the daunting task of assembling 21 unique characters, Blizzard went above and beyond.”
