The 2014 Black Entertainment Television or BET Awards was held on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the Nokie Theatre in Los Angeles, Calif. Celebrities including: Beyonce, Ashanti, Drake, Nicki Minaj, John Legend, August Alsina and Pharrell Williams gathered  to celebrate the grand evening for hip-hop. Chris Rock hosted the evening of music and entertainment. The BET Awards is considered as one of the most important nights for music, particularly hip-hop music. With three awards in her hands, Beyonce stole the spotlight at the ceremony: Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, the FANdemonium Award, and Best Collaboration for “Drunk in Love” with Jay Z. Pharrell Williams, Nicki Minaj and novice August Alsina received two awards each.
