No one would have known Beyonce’s love for “The Big Lebowski” till she had not bought the mansion showed in the film. Read on.
According to TMZ, the mansion was sold by the owner Frank McCourt last year when Beyonce and her husband also put a bid in it but, unfortunately, lost it by a British billionaire. Since then the billionaire didn’t like Los Angeles much so he decided to put the property on sale. As the music royalty couple got this news, they seized it without wasting much time giving it a next thought.
According to reports of Domain, the couple will be paying a handsome amount of $US150,000-per-month to live in the sprawling mansion which features “an indoor swimming pool, a dance studio, library, screening room and spa, the property has five bedrooms and six bathrooms.” Beyonce and Jay-Z have signed a one year lease regarding the property.
Although being deeply in love with the house Beyonce and husband Jay-Z have decided that it will be perfect for their daughter Blue Ivy and help her to learn to bowl and appreciate good rugs.
The “Crazy in Love” singer loves the film so much that it inspired her while singing for her song, “Partition.” Beyonce used a sample of a French dub of Maude Lebowski’s monologue about feminism from the movie in the song.
“The Big Lebowski” is a 1998 American crime comedy film with neo-noir elements, written, produced, and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen. It stars Jeff Bridges as Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski, an unemployed Los Angeles slacker and an avid bowler. After he becomes the victim in a case of mistaken identity, The Dude finds a millionaire also named Jeffrey Lebowski who was the intended victim.
The film was praised by everyone but seems as it made Beyonce its huge fan.
