“The Big Bang Theory” Season 8 Episode 1 “The Locomotion Interruption” and Episode 2 “The Junior Profession Solution” aired on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. on CBS. The back-to-back- Season 8 premiere kicked off where the Season 7 finale left off. Read on to find out what happened in the episodes.
Previously on “The Big Bang Theory,” Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) recommended Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) as a pharmaceutical representative. A night before her interview, Penny was understandably nervous. It was a good thing that she was able to overcome it and showed up at Bernadette’s boss’ (Stephen Root) office. Apparently, Penny screwed at the first part of the interview but was able to bounce back when the topic shifted to how they were both scared of Bernadette. The good news: Penny was hired.
As for Howard (Simon Helberg), he found the thought of Stuart (Kevin Sussman) serving as his mom’s (Carol Ann Susi) caretaker awkward. Stuart then showed up at Howard and Bernadette’s apartment and ended bringing up Howard’s mommy issues.
The highlight of this episode was, of course, Sheldon (Jim Parsons). Sheldon was robbed of his belongings and was begging the people in Arizona train station until he ended up in a nearby precinct. He then called Leonard (Johnny Galecki) to fetch him up. Leonard tagged Amy (Mayim Bialik) along the six-hour journey. Amy was upset because Sheldon called Leonard first instead of her. When they reached the police station, Sheldon insensitively asked Amy why she came. On the way home, Amy could not take it anymore and blurted her sentiments. Sheldon then asked Amy to put her head out of the window so she would not hear what he has to say. Sheldon told Leonard that he did not call Amy because he does not want her to think that he is not capable of doing things on his own. Come on, Amy. It’s a valid one. Leonard then implored to Sheldon to tell Amy, which he did. Amy told him that it was okay that he is not perfect.
The best part of this episode was Sheldon telling Leonard, “Leonard, as soon as we get home, I want to have coitus with Amy.” Okay, do not get too excited. Sheldon only said this line to ensure that Amy was not eavesdropping.
