The Big Bang Theory” Season 7 Finale Episode 24 “The Status Quo Combustion” aired on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS. Now that Penny and Leonard are engaged, what could possibly happen to Sheldon? Read on to learn more about MNG’s “The Big Bang Theory” recap of Season 7 Finale Episode 24 “The Status Quo Combustion.”

Previously on “The Big Bang Theory” (“The Status Quo Combustion” Season 7 Finale Episode 24), the gang was happy to find out that Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) are officially engaged. What made the night more interesting was when Raj (Kunal Nayyar) announced that he had slept with Emily (Laura Spencer).

Leonard delivered the good news to his mom (Christine Baranski) who does not seem to look excited. Oh, well, you know how it is with Leonard’s mom. His mom told him that she already knew because Sheldon had informed her already. She said that if Sheldon was okay with Penny, then it would be fine with her.

Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) were having troubles with keeping a nurse for Mrs. Wolowitz (Carol Ann Susi). It seemed that nobody could endure her. Anyway, the jobless Penny took the job of being Mrs. Wolowitz’ nurse for a while but then called it quits after spending some time with her.

Stuart’s (Kevin Sussman) comic book store burned down. Howard and Raj paid the store a visit. Howard suddenly thought of offering Stuart the nursing job to take care of his mother. It turned out that this was Stuart’s true calling . . . to be Debbie’s nurse.

As for Sheldon (Jim Parsons), we would like to believe that he was really the highlight of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 7 Finale Episode 24 “The Status Quo Combustion.”

First, he tried writing to the university, explaining why he would like to stop studying String Theory. However, the university declined. Second, he visited the comic book store. He helped Stuart by buying a comic book. Third, Leonard brought up with him the possible changes that Sheldon must face when he and Penny gets married. This meant getting rid of the roommate agreement. Knowing Sheldon, he does not want change. He then visited Amy (Mayim Bialik) and opened up about what was bothering him. Amy’s suggestion of living together may not be an option for Sheldon. Fourth, Sheldon went missing. Leonard and Penny went out to search for him and found him in the train station.

At first, Leonard was convincing Sheldon to stay. Then again, Penny argued that it would be best for Sheldon to have some time for himself. After all, he was a grown man. Well, if you asked us, we would say “physically.” Leonard let Sheldon go and told him that he would miss him. The couple went back to the apartment and Amy joined them. She attacked Leonard with a pillow when she learned that he let Sheldon go.
