This year’s awards night executive producer Don Mischer recently announced a statement on Aug. 20, 2014. It was said that legendary star Billy Crystal is set to honor his longtime friend and fellow comedian Robin Williams. “Billy Crystal will be speaking about the impact the Robin has had on all of us,” stated Mischer.

The “In Memoriam” segment will pay tribute to the late actor and stand-up comedian including other members of the television community. Grammy-nominated recording artist Sara Bareilles will be performing a song for the segment.

At Emmys 2013, the “Good Will Hunting” actor paid homage to his friend and mentor Jonathan Winters during the same segment of the show.
Being one of the many stars who are grieving the loss of their friend earlier this week, David Letterman previously gave a tribute to William during an episode of the “Late Show” on CBS.
His wife recently revealed Williams had been suffering from the early stages of Parkinson’s disease. He was found dead in his California home on Aug. 11, 2014 at age 63. Allegedly he committed suicide.
