“Black-ish” Season 1 Episode 6 “The Prank King” will air on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at 9:30 p.m. on ABC. It’s one of the most fun times of the year, and the Johnson household will be all set for Halloween. But it’s also the time for pranks. What happens in this episode? Find out some of the details below. But let’s do a quick recap of what happened last week first.
In “Crime and Punishment” (air date: Oct. 22, 2014) Dre (Andre Anderson) and Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) thought that their youngest son Jack (Miles Brown) deserved a big ass whopping for the scare he pulled on his mother at the mall. He hid from her, and this made Bow frantic. It’s something the young boy has been doing for a while. His parents thought that he needed to be spanked so that he won’t forget that this behavior was not tolerated.
But while Dre was heavily spanked as a child and his colleagues were more or less exposed to the same brand of punishment as children, he had doubts whether spanking was the way to go with kids these days. So he let this thing pass.
But Jack did it again and gave everyone a scare by hiding at home that Dre’s patience grew thin. Later that night, he planned on finally whipping the boy’s behind, much to the fear of the other Johnson kids. According to Pops (Laurence Fishburne), they were not exempted, especially the older kids. As long as they have an ass, they're still liable to get spanked by their father.
When it was time to set the punishment, Dre decided that talking to Jack would be the better option. He told his son he was seriously disappointed in him. Jack was old enough to understand what this meant. He saw the hurt in his father’s eyes. He heard the pain in his father’s voice, and this made him cry big time that the other kids thought that spanking hurt a lot, so they should always be in their best behavior.
Meantime, Bow told her husband that she was proud of the way he handled the situation.

It’s Halloween, and everyone will be in high spirits, most especially Dre. He always looks forward to this holiday because it means doing a family tradition.
Over the years, the Johnsons have enjoyed Halloween better by coming up with pranks that are wacky and out of this world. In addition, the Johnson family members always try to outdo each other. which was part of the fun. But this year, it looks like the older kids have other plans, and they’re bound to ruin Dre’s holiday fun.
Of course, Dre won't allow this from happening, so find out on the show about what he does! This episode is written by Lindsey Shockley, with Matt Sohn as the director.
