“The Blacklist,” one of the critically-acclaimed shows from NBC will finally straighten out the messy connections between FBI agents Raymond “Red” Reddington” (James Spader) and Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Megan Boone). In “The Blacklist” Season 1 finale, which airs on May 12, 2014 at 10:00 p.m. on NBC, Liz and the entire FBI  will put their skills and wits to the test as they try to help Red in learning the identity of “Berlin.” Read on to find out more about “The Blacklist” two-part season finale including the Season 1 Episode 21 “Berlin  (No. 8)” recap and the Season 1 Episode 22 “Berlin (No. 8) Conclusion.”

Vulture had got the latest scoop on the revelations that had happened in “The Blacklist” Season 1 Episode 20 “The Kingmaker” (air date: April 27, 2014) and the first part of “The Blacklist’ two-part season finale Season 1 Episode 21 “Berlin  (No. 8).”

Tom Keen’s real identity. In “The Kingmaker,” Liz and Tom had finally come clean with their secrets , but it won’t be complete without a fight. Tom admitted about their wedding fiasco and his work as a hired killer and spy for a bad man. In “Berlin (No. 8),” Liz shared this devastating information with Ressler and the FBI.

Liz wanted out. Liz learned that Red was the one who killed her father in “The Kingmaker.” She now thought of leaving the task force, which may lead to Red’s arrest by their own team. Both agreed that they need each other to find answers about their baffling connection. Red told her that she will still not have a normal life and asked her to work on a critical case.

Liz and Red meets the loony. Liz and Red will find out about the Cullen Virus, which already killed a man. They will learn more about the deadly virus from Red’ connection with a loony doctor named Dr. Sanders. The doctor, who is now a patient in a mental institution, told them about the Apocalypse and the Five Horsemen.

The Five Horsemen. Dr. Sanders’ information led them to his partner, Dr. Vogel. The FBI was sent to search and ghey found vials of the Cullen Virus. Liz interrogated the man. Vogel admitted that he infected five random people, who are connected with airports. They also learned that the biological warfare is the start of Berlin’s greater ploy on getting Red.

Berlin and the Blacklist. Liz was given Tom’s code book by Red. She found out that all of the crimes in their Blacklist has been connected to Red and his quest on finding allies and Berlin’s identity. In “Berlin (No. 8),” it was revealed that “Berlin” is not a place, but it is name of an entity who wants to take down Red. That person is actually on his way to see Red.

“The Blacklist” creator Jon Bokenkamp shared some news about “Berlin (No. 8) Conclusion” to TV Guide. He said that the two-part finale will straighten out several events that baffled fans all throughout “The Blacklist” Season 1. He also promised for a “big and muscular” finale. Bokenkamp told TV Guide that the baffling questions about Liz’s connection with her husband will have “satisfying answers'” in the upcoming finale.

Tom’s ultimate test. Unfortunately, Red also learned that Berlin is connected with Liz’s husband, Tom. Tom was even given the go-signal by his boss  to assassinate Liz. Will he brave enough to kill his real/fake wife?

The Fall of Berlin. Red would find out about his connection with Berlin. A prisoner transport plane crashed down. The city had been locked down to find those who escaped from the crash. Can Red and Liz stop Berlin from killing innocent people? Will Red succumb to the hands of the person who haunts for him?

“The Blacklist” Season 1 Episode 21″Berlin (No. 8)” was aired on May 5, 2014. It was directed by Michael Zinberg and written by John Eisendrath and Jon Bokenkamp.

After “Berlin”, “The Blacklist” Episode 22 “Berlin: The Conclusion” airs on May 12, 2014, at 10 p.m on NBC. It is the final episode of “The Blacklist” Season 1.
