Choosing someone to be your child’s godparent can be considered a huge honor for them. This is why when Blake Lively chose her “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” co-stars to be the godparents of her newborn, the girls were more than happy to oblige!
According to Hollywood Life, Lively gave birth to her first child with actor Ryan Reynolds weeks before the expected due date. The couple kept the birth a secret until they showed off the newborn to their close friends and family members. Introducing their child as Violet Reynolds, Lively decided to surprise her chosen godmothers by keeping the baby a secret to them.
The 27-year-old former “Gossip Girl” star made sure to choose her co-stars on “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” as the godmothers of her newborn child. Ever since she quietly gave birth during the holidays, she and Reynolds kept their child under close wraps as possible. Only a few selected people have taken a peek at the newborn.
Lively decided to choose her friends Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrara, and Alexis Bledel as the child’s godmothers. The three girls have apparently met the newborn child and are very honored to be chosen as such.
While Tamblyn could not confirm what the rumored name of the baby was, she did talk about how Lively got her to visit her house without any mention of a baby.
“That bitch! She tricked me! She was texting me about wallpaper, and she was like, ‘You gotta come see my new wallpaper,’ and I went up there, and there was her baby.” Tamblyn told People Magazine.
With this, many can’t help but speculate whether or not the Reynolds decided to name their first child as ‘Wallpaper.’ But perhaps this was just a joke or code that Lively used to get her friends and family to visit her at home. With no confirmation to what the child’s name is, the public will just have to stay put and wait until the couple officially announces it.
The only thing confirmed, as of this writing, is the fact that a third “Sisterhood” movie is “very much in the works.” This was recently confirmed by America Ferrara to People magazine.
