Will it finally be wedding bells for “The Voice” coaches Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani anytime soon?
According to the Hollywood Life, the 39-year-old country singer will be bringing their fairy-tale romance to the next level as he will furnish out a ring as a holiday yuletide gift for the “Used To Love Me” artist.
Shelton and Stefani made it official in early November that they were long-time friends who started dating exclusively. The former however is head over heels for the ex-frontwoman of alternative ska/pop-punk band No Doubt that he wants to fast-forward their relationship and have Stefani be his new wife.
It has been insinuated that the couple will probably skip the conventional marital ceremony and will “eloped once [Gwen’s] divorce is finalized in the New Year.”
Stefani was quoted in an interview on L.A.’s 102.7 KIIS FM radio show, On Air With Ryan Seacrest via ET Online saying, “To be super honest, it is kind of crazy we both went through the same thing at the same time.”
Stefani was pointing out her split from former Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, her husband of 13 years and Shelton’s estrangement from his country singer wife Miranda Lambert. Stefani shares custody with Rossdale with their three kids while Shelton was married for four years to Lambert.
Shelton, however, has obviously made it clear that he wants his new love of his life not be pulled out of the plug for the next season of “The Voice.”
“You can’t fake that. There’s friendships that go way back. When you get to work with your friends like … who gets to do that? It’s pretty cool,” Shelton mentioned to Life and Style before adding, “I’ll see you next season Gwen.”
