“Blindspot” Season 1 Episode 6 “Cede Your Soul” aired last Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:00 PM on NBC. In this episode, Jane Doe’s (Jamie Alexander) relationship with FBI Special Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) became strained after realizing that she needed some space from him, but felt lonely due to her circumstances. This week, one of her tattoos uncovered an operation that used a particular software which tracked down government vehicles, leading to the demise of government assets, diplomats and other agents. Aside from this, Jane had her first dream, and another shocking discovery was made regarding her tattoos, whose new secrets will spill over to the next episode, “Sent on Tour.” WARNING: This article will contain spoilers regarding the sixth and seventh episodes of the season. Read on to learn more about these episodes.

The episode began with Jane Doe (Jamie Alexander) having a dream that she was in bed with a man with a tree with roots tattooed on his arm. However, after mentioning it to Dr. Borden (Ukweli Roach) and after noticing that FBI Special Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) was behaving a little bit differently towards her, he suggested that they both might be just trying to set some boundaries and some space between each other.

Meanwhile, throughout the episode, both Jane and FBI Assistant Director Bethany Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) questioned Weller’s objectivity towards Jane, and Jane got annoyed after he told her off for being to invested in their main suspect in their current case, but later realized that Weller was still the best lead agent for her own particular case.

The case of the week began after FBI Forensic Science Unit Head Patterson (Ashley Johnson) discovered that a horned owl tattoo on Jane’s leg corresponded with the logo of an application called Trakzer, which could be used to track down the location of any government vehicle in the country, which was being used to target government vehicles carrying diplomats, prisoners and weapons.

They then tracked it down to a seventeen year old girl named Ana Montes (Aimee Carrero), who thought that she had been helping out the National Security Agency, as she had been asked to hack into the NSA and develop the software for a man named Shawn Palmer (Rodrigo Lopresti), who claimed to have a contact in the NSA.

In order to disable the program, they set fire to his servers, thanks to some cleaver hacking by Patterson.

Afterwards, Johnson mentioned to Weller the case file that Mayfair didn’t want her to look into and he agreed to look into it.

However, upon arriving home, Ana was abducted by a Russian mob enforcer who forced her to look up a particular van- a DEA van that was transferring a heavy arsenal of weapons on a ship heading out of the United States. Thankfully, Ana was able to alert Patterson by hacking into her system, and thanks to leaving the VIN number of the van that they were targeting on her locked computer screen, they were able to save her.

Afterwards, Weller, upon coming home, decided to tell his father (Jay O. Sanders) that Taylor Shaw was still alive, and it was discovered that a man with a tree tattoo on his arm had been spying on her.

The next episode, “Sent on Tour,” according to the official press release on Spoiler TV, will continue to explore Patterson’s abilities to crack puzzle of the recently uncovered tattoo, and will continue to explore Jane’s and Weller’s already tense relationship with each other, after one of her tattoos sends them on a mission which also threatened to uncover Mayfair’s past, which would probably be connected to the Saul Guerrero case that she didn’t want Patterson to look into.
