Did Edgar Reade (Rob Brown) kill his former coach? And, will his partner Tasha Zapata (Audrey Esparza) arrest him or help him keep the incident a secret? Find out in the next episode of Blindspot on NBC.
Last week, Zapata walked into Mike Jone’s house and found the Reade standing over the dead body of the coach. While it was not explicitly said that the FBI Agent has murdered his former coach, it is clear that Reade has some beef to settle with the man who he accused of sexually assaulting him as a child.
Tasha has a choice to face in Season 2 Episode 6 of Blindspot: He can arrest Reade right then and there or help him cover his tracks. It looks like she will go for the latter based on the statements of Brown.
In an interview with TV Guide, the actor revealed that Zapata will side with Reade in this week’s episode of Blindspot. “She’s put in a difficult spot. The optics of what she walks in on are not positive for anybody,” he explained. “So she goes into damage control, because anyone who walks in there is in the mix.”
If Zapata decides to cover up the crime, she will be an accomplice and will be in as much trouble as Reade. But, it seems like Zapata has already made a decision to help out her partner sort out the mess.
He told Collider that Reade and Zapata will have to figure out how to clean up the crime scene before more people see it. “The more people that see it, the more people who end up involved in it,” he explained. The two now have to figure out how to protect themselves from being implicated for the crime if Reade did kill Jones.
