“Bloodline” Renewed For A Second Season
It’s not always going to be this perfect. Things happen to people

When it comes to creating good stories, it seems like Netflix has found a way to combine a good and intriguing story, great visuals and great acting, in the original Netflix series “Bloodline”, a part family drama and part mystery drama, which, according The Hollywood Reporter, has just been renewed for a second season. Read on to learn more about this story.

Created by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler, the creators of the series “Damages”, “Bloodline” is  an intriguing family drama that centers around the Rayburns, a prominent clan in the Florida Keys, whose lives are disrupted when the eldest son, Danny Rayburn (Ben Mendelsohn) returns for the first time in years.

However, because of a series of events that occur while Danny is around, the family’s deepest and darkest secrets are exposed, including a former incident regarding a deceased sister, and an incident which caused Danny to be injured. This caused the younger Rayburns to rally together to protect their family name by going against their older brother.

All thirteen episodes of the first season of the part family and part mystery drama were released on the show’s premiere date, March 20, 2015.

“Bloodline” stars a remarkable roster of actors which include Sissy Spacek as the matriarch, Sally Rayburn; Sam Shepard as her husband, the stubborn Robert Rayburn; Ben Mendelsohn as Danny Rauburn; Broadway’s Norbert Leo Butz as the third son, Kevin Rayburn; Linda Cardellini as the youngest daughter, Meg Rayburn; and “Friday Night Lights’” Kyle Chandler as the second son, Sheriff John Rayburn. The cast also includes Jacinda Barrett as John’s wife, Diana Rayburn; Katie Finneran as Kevin’s wife, Belle Rayburn; Jamie McShane as Eric O’Bannon, Danny’s no good, ex- convict best friend; and Chloe Sevigny as his sister, Chelsea O’ Bannon.

According to Variety, the second season will premiere in 2016, with production starting sometime later this year.
