Previously on “Blue Bloods” (“Exiles” Season 4 Episode 22), Jamie (Will Estes) and Eddie (Vanessa Ray) helped a young couple get married. There were facing immigration issues, preventing Jamie and Eddie to jump into the situation. However, the young woman came across them and asked again for help. She was of legal age, thus allowed to be married, but her father was keeping her needed documents in order to push through with matrimony. Jamie told her that they would have to arrest her father in order to get the documents, but the woman did not want that. There were confrontations, but the couple finally got to wed.
A woman named Eileen Clayton jumped from her balcony. Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) was assigned to investigate the suicide. While gathering valuable information, the hotel employee told Danny and Maria (Marissa Ramirez) that he already talked to the detectives. They were stunned and proceeded to go inside Eileen’s room. They found out that the DAs were handling the case. Of all people, Walt Finney, Danny’s nemesis, was involved. Danny was instructed to leave get his hands off the case, but there was no stopping him. He went to see Erin (Bridget Moynahan) and asked for more details about the case. What a coincidence that he saw Walt, and the two almost had a fight, with Danny provoking him to get out of his car.
At the station, the DAs were quick to file a report about Danny harassing a DA agent, causing him to be placed on leave. Then, the suspicion started that the NYPD had something to do with the case. Danny called Frank (Tom Selleck) about it, then the latter talked to Kelly (Bebe Neuwirth) for any helpful information. It was some kind of a moment for Kelly and Frank. She told him about her feelings and asked him why he was still wearing his wedding ring.
Frank received a video of one of his men and Eileen’s girls. Dino (John Ventimiglia) had no choice but to reveal everything that he knew, including his involvement with Danny’s leave. Frank fired Dino and told Danny to take his badge and gun. It turned out it was a sex bargain for protection.
Erin grew suspicious of Amanda (Amy Morton). In their confrontation, Amanda would not back down even if her guilt was evident. As Erin laid what she got, including Dino mentioning her name as one of those involved in the cover up, Amanda was defensive of course. Erin informed her that she had filed a complaint against her.
