The succesful “James Bond” film franchise will begin their principal shooting for “Bond 24” on Dec. 6, 2014. For more details on this story, read on.
According to the James Bond’s fan site M16, Daniel Craig has signed on to return as James Bond in the upcoming pic, this will be his fourth outing as Agent 007. Craig was the sixth actor to play the role of James Bond 007 in the official series, replacing Pierce Brosnan debuting in the highly acclaimed “Casino Royale”, becoming the highest-grossing in the series at the time which also earned Craig a BAFTA award nomination. He later reprised his role in “Quantum of Solace” which followed two years later, and “Skyfall” which premiered in 2012 and is now the highest-grossing film in the series, as well as the ninth highest-grossing film of all time.
Sam Mendes, who directed “Sky Fall”, will return to direct the film. John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are also returning as screenwriters. Bond franchise staples Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are returning as executive producers and EON Productions, MGM and Sony/Columbia Pictures are returning as production companies. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment secured the rights for home distribution.
Daniel Craig who is under contract for Bond 24 and 25 films. Other returning cast members include Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner and Ben Whishaw as Q.
No other casting has been confirmed thus far. Early rumours of Penelope Cruz’s involvement would appear to have been debunked, whilst word that Chiwetel Ejiofor may be in line to play the villain remains unsubstantiated. Casting for the Bond Girls and villains are still taking place.

It was also reported that the principal photography will head to several countries to film various scenes including shooting in Austria, a car chase in Rome, and a possible sequence in Morocco. Pinewood Studios in England will once again be home to 007 for studio filming.
