The dust of last week’s crossover with “Sleepy Hollow” has settled on “Bones” and things quiet down a bit in this week’s episode. As Bones, Booth, and the rest of the team get back into the groove of investigating “normal” cases, they tackle a less than normal victim next week.
“Bones” certainly had an exciting week last week, with a case involving a 200-year old corpse and needing the help of FBI agent Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison). This week, they go back to a case with a ’normal’ dead body, who just happens to a senator’s.When “Bones” returns for an all-new episode next week, Bones Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) investigate the murder of a body discovered in the woods. Found to be an escape artist working at the Magic Palace, the victim is discovered to have had some shady activities that earned him some enemies — and potential killers — in his own circle.
While another death sure is no reason to celebrate, a “Bones” episode won’t be complete without at least some comic relief. Some photos posted by BuddyTV shows that the case might tap into Dr. Clark Edison’s (Eugene Byrd) inner magician, with a few photos seemingly hinting at him doing some magic tricks. Of course, it is also possible that he is just doing his usual magic — the forensic one.
Beyond the case, though, Bones and Booth take a stab at another parental case: the case of the tooth fairy. The pair polls their friends to see if Christine should get a visit from the made-up magical creature.
Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin) also gets a bit of the spotlight. The episode continues her photography work with guest star Gil Darnell, playing Sebastian Kohl.
The upcoming “Bones” episode is titled “The Promise in the Palace.” It airs on FOX this November 12. “Bones” debuts new episodes every Thursday night.
