According to the press release posted on Spoiler TV, FBI Agent Seeley Booth, the Jeffersonian team and Special Agent James Aubrey (John Boyd) continue to investigate the conspiracy that killed one of their very own, and that endangered the lives of Booth and his wife, Dr. Temperance Brennan, also known as Bones. However, they discover that the conspiracy within the Bureau traces back all the way to the time of FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. This was already hinted to both Booth and Bones by the old security guard they had visited while investigating another corpse related to the conspiracy.

However, the team finally found a much-needed break in their case when they discover some foreign DNA that links back to another corpse related to the entire conspiracy. This enables the team to narrow down the list of suspects significantly, and this allows them to come a little bit closer to solving the conspiracy.  However, the team gets some unexpected help from their dearly beloved colleague, Dr. Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley), as he gives them a clue to help solve the case once and for all.

In this episode, the team, and his pregnant girlfriend, Daisy Wick (Carla Gallo) will bid farewell to Sweets, as they lay him down to rest.

Spoiler TV also posted two exclusive sneak peeks what more to expect in the second episode.

In the first clip, Daisy Wick (Carla Gallo), Jack Hodgins (T.J. Thyne), and Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin) discovered a note that Sweets had left behind. On one, he had written “Cooper, Defiant, Frightened, Sanderson, Believer, Powerful and Acolyte”, followed by a bunch of question marks and a cross. Based on the cross sign, the three toss around the idea that this entire thing had something to do with a cult.

However, the next note made Daisy tear up a little, as Sweets had written the name “Seeley” three times. Daisy then revealed that that was the name that Sweets wanted to name their baby.

The second clip shows Booth and Bones in a diner, discussing their latest case. Then, Booth’s friend, Assistant United States Attorney Caroline Julian (Patricia Belcher) informed them that they cannot get any documents from Sanderson, or to make a move on him, as Sanderson claimed not have the documents on him, and that he was prepared to spend any amount “to get the Department of Justice off his back”. These documents that he claimed not to have were the very same documents that Sweets had gotten ahold of before he was killed. It was also revealed in the clip that Sanderson himself was the one who had killed Sweets.
