“Boruto: Naruto The Movie” is still a couple of months from being aired in theaters, but fans were given a chance to get a glimpse of what they should look out for in the upcoming “Boruto” movie, as the first official trailer has been released. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
“Boruto: Naruto The Movie” has been released and it has got many fans excited to see what makes Boruto different from Naruto. The movie’s cover art was previously released in April by the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, which showed son Bolt and Hokage Naruto in the photo. The tagline reads, “That’s tacky, Hokage/crappy old man.”
“This Boruto movie features all new characters, starting everything from zero. It means, it still exists only in my head, who is the original creator,” said executive producer Masashi Kishimoto, according to CrunchyRoll.
Kishimoto also admitted that this was the first of the 11 Naruto movies wherein he has written the screenplay and worked together with the team responsible for creating the character designs. Kishimoto also said that he has dedicated all of his time for this movie, saying that this was the Naruto movie he has always wanted to make.
“One last word…, now I can’t draw anything more than this…” he concluded.
According to Latin Times, “Boruto: Naruto The Movie” will be the first time fans will get a deeper understanding of Boruto. The outlet also cited the cover art’s tagline, which hints at what fans can expect from Boruto’s personality.
The outlet reported that no official plot details have been revealed, but some reports claim that the movie will focus on Bolt and Sarada. The outlet cited that the story is set in a time following the Great War with an old character allegedly returning in the movie.
“Boruto: Naruto The Movie” will also see the comeback of the Orochimaru story arch, but this time, Orochimaru’s out to get Boruto and Sarada.
Anime News Network revealed that Junko Takeuchi will be playing Naruto Uzumaki while Noriaki Sugiyama will be back as Sasuke Uchiha. Yuko Sanpei has been confirmed to play Boruto Uzumaki earlier this month while Kokoro Kikuchi will play Sarada Uchiha. Kikuchi has previously done voice work for “Heartcatch Precure!” as Potpourri.
“Boruto: Naruto The Movie” is slated for a June 7 release in Japan. Stay tuned on Movie News Guide (MNG) for more updates.
