The highly anticipated “Boruto: Naruto the Movie” is expected to have its US release on Oct. 10, during Naruto’s birthday and in time for the New York Comic Con held on Oct 8.-11. With the movie’s Japan release less than a month away, several spoilers have circulated online, including details of the new villains.

As Crunchyroll previously reported, the 33rd issue of Shonen Jump gave Naruto fans a first look on what they could expect on the villains of the movie. It was said that Momoshiki and Kinoshiki are now members of the Ōtsutsuki clan, just like Princess Kaguya and Hagoromo. The group reportedly wanted to steam Kurama from Naruto.

According to the official “Boruto: Naruto the Movie” spoilers from Design & Trend, the movie will focus on Boruto and his father’s relationship. It was said that the character will feel disheartened because of his father’s rejection, that he tries to find another mentor in order to surpass him.

“He ends up meeting his father’s friend Sasuke, and requests to become… his apprentice!?”

Based on the latest movie trailer, it was seen that Boruto uses the lightning blade which seems to confirm that he is indeed training under Sasuke. It was also hinted that Boruto could inherit Sasuke’s Sharingan eyes.

Meanwhile, Sasuke’s daughter will also reportedly play a big part in the film. It was said that she could end up either being her rival or her love interest.
