“Bosch” Season 1 Episode 8 “Chapter Eight:High Low” aired last Feb. 13, 2015 on Amazon. In this episode, Detective Hieronymous “Harry “ Bosch (Titus Welliver) discovered who really killed Arthur Delacroix after looking up a family that used to live in the neighborhood during the early ‘90s. Meanwhile, Raynard Waits (Jason Gedrick) got under Bosch’s skin after he staged a crime scene identical to how his mother had died. Read on to learn more about this episode.

After his mother died, Raynard Waits (Jason Gedrick) lit a candle by her bedside, cried, and drank a cup of coffee. Meanwhile, Detective Hieronymous “Harry “ Bosch (Titus Welliver) noticed that his McLaren Youth Hall had a particular notation on it which meant that he had been in the “Trunk” or solitary confinement. When he went back to the station the next day, he advised Detective Johnson (Troy Evans) and Detective Kiz Rider (Rose Rollins) to look it up, as Waits had mentioned it before.

He also met up with Eleanor Wish (Sarah Clarke) who got mad at him after he was upset at the  fact that Maddie (Madison Lintz) had gotten into a car accident under her and her husband’s watch.

Waits then called Bosch up and told him that his mother died, and refused to place her with the rest of his victims as it was a “son’s duty” to bury his mother.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Irvin Irving (Lance Reddick) met up with Reverend Isaiah Ott (Peter Macon), who agreed to support District Attorney Richard O’Shea’s (Steven Culp) bid for Mayor in the upcoming Mayoral Election. However, later that day, he was surprised to learn that Ott also wanted to have a seat on the Police Commission, which he did not expect.

Back at the station, Bosch tried to tell Officer Julia Brasher (Annie Wersching) that she should own up to her mistake, and she got upset at him. Captain Pounds (Mark Derwin) then put her on light duty, and told her to file a harassment complaint against Bosch since they had been in an “inappropriate relationship” together.

Bosch and Detective Jerry Edgar (Jamie Hector) then went to the medical examiner’s office as Jasper (Anthony Alabi) had discovered that Nicholas Trent had Arthur’s old skateboard. Bosch, therefore, went back to Trent’s neighborhood, Wonderland, where he ran into Dr. Guyot (Scott Wilson), who told them that a lot of the kids who played there before were foster kids, and that the Blaylocs, who used to live down the street, had foster children. When Bosch went to look at the house, he noticed that the fence in the carport was the same as the one in the picture with Arthur and the other boys. They also discovered that Waits had learned about the details of Arthur’s backpack because he had conned Jasper into telling him.

Meanwhile, Waits took a pair of woman’s high heels, two cellphones and a gun and drove until he found a dumpster in an alleyway.

Meanwhile, Bosch, thanks to the address that Dr. Guyot had given him, managed to trace down where the Blaylocs resided. There, he was informed that Johnny Stokes (John Hatosy) had been one of their foster children, and that the skateboard was his. They also recognized  the picture  that Bosch showed them, and told him that they had sold the kids’ belongings to Trent after Stokes had gotten jailed. Bosch then told Edgar to put out a bulleting on Stokes, as it seemed like he was the one who had killed Arthur so that he could get his skateboard.

Later that night, he was called over to a crime scene where the victim was a female in her thirties. After looking at the body in the dumpster, and the high heels in front of the dumpster, Bosch realized that Waits had done this for him, as that was how his mother had died. Waits then called and told him to bury the woman, who was a prostitute like his mother, and dropped the phone on the road.

Later that night, Bosch remembered his mother as he browsed through the murder book of his mother’s murderer. He cried after going through it.

And that was all for he recap of “Bosch” Season 8  Episode  “Chapter Eight: High Low”. For more news, recaps and updates on “Bosch” and other television shows, keep on following Movie News Guide (MNG).
