Looks like ‘Jason Bourne’ has got his memory back in the upcoming “Bourne 5”, according to Matt Damon. In a recent interview, the actor offered some insight into the plot for “Bourne 5”. Read on for more details.
In a recent interview with New York Daily, Matt Damon indicated the famous amnesiac assassin is no longer amnesiac, but he does not yet know ‘everything.’ Damon is already shooting as ‘Bourne’, and he will reprise his character from 2007’s “Bourne Ultimatum.”
“[Bourne] has his memory back, but that doesn’t mean he knows everything. It’s 12 years since Jason Bourne has been on the grid. So we have to answer the questions, Where’s he been? What’s he doing? What gets him going again? So once we solved all that, then we had a movie,” said Damon. With this piece of information, there is quite a lot we now know about “Bourne 5”:
It will navigate a ‘post Snowden, post NSA’ political landscape. Part of the story will be based in Greece, and part of it in LA, Damon has previously offered. We also know that Nicki Parson’s is back for the new film as ‘Julia’, and that Vincent Cassel supposedly plays the villainous assassin with his ridiculous French accent. Tommy Lee Jones and Alicia Vikander are also joining the film as new faces in the franchise. We know that Bourne is totally ripped, atleast from this photo:
We also know, from leaked set photos, that there is at least one motorcycle chase sequence. Finally, though this might turn out to be completely untrue later on, the movie’s name is supposedly: “The Bourne Betrayal”, after the fifth book in the series conceived by Robert Ludlum. The book has Bourne face-off against s terrorist group called “Dujja”, however given the plot details offered by Damon, it is unlikely that the movie and the book will share any details except their title.
“Bourne 5” which may now be called “The Bourne Betrayal” is set to hit the theaters on July 29, 2016.
