Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong had his paternity test this week and the result is said to be revealed soon. Read on!
“Boys Over Flower” actor Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend have a court-ordered DNA test to clear any speculation regarding the paternity responsibility of the actor to Choi’s three-month-old baby.
According to International Business Times, last September of this year, Choi filed a case against the actor regarding the paternity of her son. She requested for a DNA test to prove that Kim is her son’s father.
Soon after the case was filed, the actor’s representatives agreed with what Choi wanted, however, it should be conducted by a private company named Human Pass which she firmly rejected claiming that she cannot trust the company to have an accurate result as it was hired by Kim’s agency.
Meanwhile, in the latest update of Kim’s case, KDrama Stars reported that the Hallyu star had his paternity test at the Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno.
In his lawyer’s official statement, Lee Jae Man said that they really hoped the DNA test could be taken behind closed doors, but Choi has announced the location and date.
He went on to say that if the result is positive, Kim will take full responsibility as a father, however, if the result revealed that he’s not the father, Choi should take responsibility.
On the other hand, Atty. Sun Jung Moon, Choi’s lawyer is firmed that the result will show that Kim is indeed the father of his client’s son.
“We are one hundred percent sure the tests will prove that Kim Hyun Joong is the father,” Sun said in his statement.
Meanwhile, the DNA result is said to be available in about a week.
Moving on, as we all remember, Kim’s paternity controversy started when his ex-girlfriend filed a lawsuit case against him claiming that he assaulted her which allegedly caused psychological damage to the latter.
Other than that, the psychological abuse Choi got from the actor eventually became the cause of her miscarriage.
