Brad Pitt to Star in Angelina Jolie’s Action Drama Film ‘Africa’

The actors whose relationship started when they both starred in the romantic–action flick “Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may team up once more in another movie project. But this time it is Jolie calling the shots as the movie’s helmsman. Read on to know more about the details of this scoop.

Looking at Brad Pitt’s recent film track record, he starred in “World War Z” and fought off human’s extinction against the plague of the undead. On the next film that followed, he fought Germans in Germany alongside his brothers in arms in a Tank. There’s one thing common in this two different film narratives and it is how Pitt’s character ends up sacrificing himself for the betterment of others. It could be how he enunciates the act of self-sacrificing or it could just be pure coincidence.

According to The Wrap, Pitt is going through the motions of embodying his next biopic project and the director will be none other than his own wife. The film project entitled “Africa” is actually focused on real-life archaeologist, Richard Leakey. He is a well-known and highly respected man in the aspect of protecting the wildlife. He specifically made the stand for the elephants during the 1980’s when such species were popular targets of poachers in the land of Africa.

Prior to this project, the two actually rekindle their on-screen romance in another flick directed and written by Angelina Jolie, “By The Sea.” Set in the mid-70’s France, the film centers on two artistically inclined couple whose undergoing the downfall of their relationship during their travels. Everything took a turn for the better when they came across a new place and made a connection with some people in the seaside town.

“Africa” was written by Eric Roth, the playwright who brought well-known pieces like “Forrest Gump” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” For this film, Jolie retains her “Unbroken” director for Cinematography Roger Deakins. It will be produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Jon Peters under Skydance. Filming should start by this summer.
