Actress Kate Beckinsale’s adventures in the seemingly never-ending war between vampires and werewolves will keep on coming, especially as a fifth and new film in the film franchise, entitled “Underworld: Next Generation,” is slated to for release in the latter half of 2016. Aside from big names such as Kate Beckinsale and Theo James, it has just been announced that actor Bradley James will be joining in on the action, as he has just been cast in the film. With the various film franchises that have come and gone, one film franchise that is still remembered by many is the action horror film franchise “Underworld.” It began in 2003, and which starred Beckinsale as Selene, an elite and vampiric fighter, determined to destroy the Lycans or the werewolves that destroyed her family.
She then ends up getting caught in the never ending war between the Lycans and the vampires, who, unlike most iterations of the creatures, were created due to a virus.
In the fourth and latest installment of the film, Beckinsale was joined by “Divergent’s” Theo James, who played the vampire, David.
According to Deadline, actor Bradley James, who is best known for portraying King Arthur in “Merlin,” Lowell in “IZombie,” and who will be portraying the lead character in A&E’s television version of “Damien,” will be joining the roster of the fifth installment, which will be entitled “Underworld: Next Generation.|
According to the A.V. Club, “Underworld: Next Generation” will see a new generation of vampires and Lycans fighting against each other in a new war in the never ending feud between vampires and werewolves.
