Britney Spears is coming to a TV series… and it’s going to be awesome. Read below for the full details.

The CW’s “Jane the Virgin” Season 2 will feature Spears as Rogelio’s (Jaime Camil) nemesis. The latest casting news was  announced by executive produccer Jennie Synder Urman.

“We are so thrilled that Rogelio’s ‘nemesis’ – Britney Spears – has agreed to appear on ‘Jane the Virgin’ in episode 205. Personally, after hearing about their long standing feud, we are eager to hear Ms. Spears’ side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney,” Urman said.

Spears first broke the news on her Twitter account, “See u at the Marbella Hotel soon, @hereisgina @jaimecamil! Guest starring on one of my favorite shows EVER @CWJaneTheVirgin #DreamComeTrue,” she tweeted.

Urman also revealed the story on how they decided to have Spears on “Jane the Virgin” Season 2.

“The quality of their interaction is a little bit in dispute between what Britney thinks and what Rogelio thinks. We’d written some stuff about what Rogelio had said about Britney, how he’d done a residency in Vegas… so when we found out she was a big fan, we said, ‘Will you please, please be on the show?’” Urman added.

Gina Rodriguez, who plays Jane on “Jane the Virgin,” is very much thrilled about the Princess of Pop’s arrival on her show. She took to her Twitter account to express her excitement.

“Jane the Virgin” Season 2 returns on Oct. 12, 2015 on The CW.
