Brooklyn Nine-Nine” will have some exciting special guest stars in a couple of their upcoming episodes. Plus, there are spoiler details to this Sunday’s episode, “Windbreaker City,” in the news story below. Read on.

According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Jake’s (Andy Samberg) father will make an appearance in an episode slated for airing on Mar. 8, 2015. The role of Captain Roger Peralta will be played by none other than Bradley Whitford (“Transparent”) and his character is described as a charming airline pilot.

As much as the elder Peralta has his way with people though, he has disappointed his son many times. But Jake is hoping that this visit will be different; that it’s going to be a father-son bonding like no other.

Also dropping by the show is Garret Dillahunt (“Raising Hope”), who will be playing NYPD’s best detective. Jake and Amy (Melissa Fumero) will want to impress him, but then his character will be so smitten by Amy, causing Jake to grow jealous.

The exact date of Dillahunt’s appearance has not yet been determined and there’s a possibility that it won’t just be a one-time thing. This will mark Dillahunt’s return on FOX, one year after “Raising Hope” was cancelled by the network.

This string of guest appearances by established television stars is nothing new to “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” as they have had quite a handful of fantastic guests gracing the series. Samberg has expressed that aside from these two stars, he would also like to have Amy Poehler (“Parks and Recreations“) appear in an episode on the show in the future.

Spoiler Alert: “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” Season 2 Episode 15 “Windbreaker City” will air on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 at 8:30 p.m. on FOX.

Apparently, it’s not the last we’ll see of Sophia (guest star Eva Longoria) as she returns to this episode to make a brief appearance. Jake is still heartbroken over getting dumped by her, so the squad will try to lift his spirits up by letting him join the terrorist training simulation with Homeland Security. At the training, Jake will meet an agent (guest star Nick Kroll) who’s really bad at playing the hostage.

Back at the precinct, Gina (Chelsea Perretti) will have Holt (Andre Braugher) undergo a psychological test. Amy and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) will vie for something, the prize of which would be a day off.

Other guest stars to this episode will include Cassius Willis as Agent Mazzarino and Seth Morris as Agent Piln.

That’s the latest from “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” Catch its upcoming episode “Windbreaker City” this Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 at 8:30 p.m. on FOX.
