“Charges and Specs” was directed by Akiva Schaffer and written by Gabe Liedman and Gil Ozeri. The Season 1 finale kicks off after Jake was fired from his work at the 99th precinct. He was relieved from the police service by a revengeful Commissioner Podolski. The case was about a money-laundering Lucas Wint, who was seen as leader their community.
Jake asked the help of Holt and Amy on the case for more evidences. The team got an informant that has the marked donation money. They dressed up at a nearby thrift store and went to an amateur ballroom contest. When Jake got a hold of the account book, Holt asked him to be fired rather than giving the evidence. It was later revealed that Lint was part of a mafia, which has been investigated by the FBI.
Before he agreed, he went to Amy in order to confess is hidden feelings for his co-worker. Jake praised her mermaid-style dress and it was the extent that he can say to her. On the other hand, another couple has a startling development. Boyle and Gina found themselves in an illicit one-night stand after Boyle’s current wife ended their marriage early.
SPOILER ALERT: “Brooklyn Nine Nine” Season 2 Episode 1 “Undercover” will air on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at 8:30 p.m. on FOX.
TV Guide posted the synopsis of the upcoming episode. “Undercover” will feature Jake learning about a mafia member who escaped their “sting.” Jake later asked Boyle to help him with the case and question the bad guys they got. While Jake and Boyle are busy tackling mob members, Holt will lead several practice drills with the officers.
In another video, Andy Samberg suits up to face the “kiss of death.” It’s actually not deadly, but Jake will receive a lot of “manly kisses” from several mafia members and leaders including an old and thin man. Meanwhile, Amy finds herself in a faux pas situation when she learns that she and Boyle wore the same gray-peach ensemble at work. Obviously, she will not happy that Boyle looked better in it.
FOX also released another short clip featuring Jake inside Captain Holt’s office. Holt inquires about the meaning of R.I.C.O, which according to Jake, stands for “Racketeering, Investigative, Cop, “O-some.” A serious Holt sarcastically asked him about Jake’s opinion on his misspelled word.
