Bruce Jenner has finally decided to break his silence and will soon be having a sit-down with Diane Sawyer dated later this month of April. Through this interview, Jenner may also finally confirm or slam the rumours of him transitioning into a woman.
ABC News recently revealed that Bruce Jenner’s most awaited interview with former ‘World News Tonight’ anchor Diane Sawyer will finally be aired on Friday, Apr. 24, 2015. Although, the network opted not to reveal further details regarding the said two-hour interview, including the topics possibly tackled in it.
Two of the biggest topics that most definitely will be talked about during the interview are the rumours of Jenner’s transition and that of the fatal car accident he got involved in last Feb. 2015.
Up until now, Jenner and his family have not said anything about his reported transition. It was apparently started since his divorce with Kris Jenner. Their silence, however, caused a stir in the entertainment industry and in the transgender community.
Denise A. Norris, director of the Institute for Transgender Economic Advancement said in a previous interview with the New York Times last February, as cited by the Washington Post, that Jenner has not yet even said anything about the rumours but the media has already been spreading things around. In relation to this, the rest of the world would just have wait and give Jenner enough breathing space until he decides to talk to the public about it.
The news of Jenner’s ABC interview apparently also heated things up between ABC and NBC News, the sister channel of E!. E! is the mother channel of TV series “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” which has been featuring Jenner’s family since 2007. As such, Jenner opting to have his interview with another network reportedly sparked outrage. ABC has not commented yet on this matter.
‘Bruce Jenner – The Interview’ will be aired at ABC on Friday, Apr. 24 at 9:00 p.m.
