We are all geared up for the sequel to this year’s megahit “Jurassic World,” right? “Jurassic World 2,” which was quite expected to happen now officially, has a release date for itself as female lead of the movie Bryce Dallas Howard recently confirmed the date they will begin shooting. Read On!
According to Comicbook.com, Bryce was at an event promoting the DVD release of her movie “Jurassic World,” when she confirmed the news that the sequel will begin filming in 2017. The year is appropriate for the movie to begin filming as it has been locked in for a June 2018 release.
“Jurassic World” itself set a motive for the sequel when dinosaurs, especially Raptors were being discussed as becoming the next potential weapon for the armed forces though lead characters like Owen Grady played by Chris Pratt and Claire played by Bryce were strictly against it. As of now, not many details of the plot is known, but since Dr. Wu fled the island, meaning to protect his research, there are so many storylines that “Jurassic World 2” can take.
Maybe Dr. Henry Wu sells his research to another corporation who share the same beliefs of weaponizing dinosaurs. As far as Owen and Claire’s story is concerned, in the end both of them decided to stick together so there’s so much that the both can do and will have to do in the sequel to further preventing any accidents related to dinosaurs.
Independent, on the other hand, reported a rather heated incident from the movie. Many hailed this particular incident as amazing while some shouted feminism. The scene where Bryce’s character Claire outruns a T-Rex wearing high heels, is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the movie. Many wondered how did she pull that off given the fact that one of the biggest carnivores that ever roamed the planet was just behind her.
But Bryce was kind enough to give an explanation. According to her, Claire never really thought that by the end of the movie she would be in a situation where she will have to lure a T-Rex into a fight with the Indominus because the only thing she was doing in the movie was science related and sometimes falling in line with corporate greed. Despite all of that, she did find her maternal side when she went out of the way to protect her two nephews from the genius beast.
On a lighter side, Bryce assured that Claire won’t have any high heels to flaunt in “Jurassic World 2” as director of “Jurassic World,” Colin Trevorrow himself has assured her of same.
“Jurassic World 2” will release on 22nd June 2018.
