Caitlyn Jenner made the news this year for several reasons. Her transformation from Bruce to Caitlyn was one of the highlights. She even received recognitions from award-giving bodies because of her boldness and courage in coming out and embracing the total transformation in her character. Also, one more reason she made the headlines was the car accident she encountered resulting to the death of another driver.
TMZ found out that Jenner has finally reached to an amicable settlement for the lawsuit case filed against her by the Prius driver. This was the fatal PCH crash which happened early this year.
Jessica Steindorff agreed to settle the lawsuit for property damage and personal physical injury. How much was the amount to make the settlement? The sources didn’t disclose any figure but confirmed that it wasn’t Jenner who paid for it. Instead, her insurance company was the one who paid to put this settlement to an end.
She still needs to face two more lawsuits coming from the accident last February. The first one is from the two stepchildren of the Lexus driver who passed away and the other is from the passengers and driver of the Hummer.
According to Daily Mail, Jenner can’t be charged for manslaughter as the car crash happened due to negligence and not with a criminal intention. She speaks out about this challenge she’s facing.
“I remember it happening. That’s about it. A tragedy like this, you’ll never get over it. You just learn to live with it the best you possibly can.” Jenner shared.
Jenner has admitted her concerns if ever she will land behind bars. “That is the worst case scenario. I don’t know. We’ll see. The Men’s County Jail. It is an enormous problem that they would put trans-women in Men’s County Jail.”
Will Caitlyn Jenner be able to have a settlement too with the two remaining lawsuits filed against her?
