Caitriona Balfe Teases ‘Outlander’ Season 2: Heartbreaking Frank Randall Scenes

One of the most shocking events that happened in “Outlander” Season 1 was Claire’s (Caitriona Balfe) pregnancy. The fact that she thought she would never have a child with Jaime (Sam Heughan) and the couple even talked about it and was fine with it then the season ended with Claire telling Jaime that she’s pregnant. Read on for more details.

According to Fashionnstyle, Balfe and Heughan have teased about that in Season 2.  Her character’s pregnancy will draw in a lot of complications and Balfe just recently teased that it will also bring in some heartbreaking scenes that will involve Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies).

“Outlander” Season 2 is reported to take place in the past. It means that we will get to see more of Frank since he is from Claire’s past. Claire is going to deal with Frank, which will stir up conflict considering the fact that she has Jaime in the present. Also, Claire is going to need to deal with the trauma of losing her parents when she was young.

In Diana Gabaldon’s books, Claire confessed that she didn’t knew what her parents look like. Executive producer Ron D. Moore may consider shedding light on Claire’s parents in Season 2.

With Claire’s mother who died when she was 5 years old, she never experienced having maternal care. She will find very challenging in “Outlander” Season 2 as she carries and gives birth to her own child. Claire’s worries will bring  her closer to her husband, Jaime.

They will form a much closer bond, which is something that will be even be beyond unbreakable. With Frank back in the picture, this is going to be really heartbreaking especially in Frank’s part as he watches his wife in love and have a baby with someone else.
