“Twilight” fame actress Kristen Stewart has become the first American actress to receive Cesar Award for her drama film “Clouds of Sils Maria.” Cesar Award, popularly known as French equivalent of an Oscar, is a prestigious award. According to Vanity Fair, the New York Film Critics Circle recently announced their annual awards on Twitter declaring Michael Keaton as the best actor for “Spotlight,” Saoirse Ronan as the best actress for “Brooklyn” and Kristen Stewart as best supporting actress for “Clouds of Sils Maria.”
Of course, it definitely does not assure the Oscar list will remain same. It will turn upside down as more blockbuster entries are yet to enter. This year has marked many block busters with big studio names and stars. But 25-year-old Stewart entering the race with two prestigious awards does make it surprising for everyone, the competition will be tough.
“Clouds of Sils Maria” features French actress Juliette Binoche and “(500) Days of Summer” fame Chloë Grace Moretz along with Stewart in the main cast. The film is directed by French director Olivier Assayas who has received multiple awards for his works in movies like “Summer Hours” and “Carlos” to name a few.
Kristen Stewart, who has been infamously in news for her link-ups and break-ups, especially with Robert Pattinson, has finally made headlines for her wonderful performances.
