Marvel film contracts, for some actors and actresses, may not be as awesome as it sounds as one ends up committing to more than four films in one’s entire career. While there are some who are on the fence regarding this kind of contract, there are some, such as Captain America himself, Chris Evans, who are over the moon regarding this prospect and are completely willing to keep on appearing as the superhero that they are now most popularly known for.
Chris Evans has been quite vocal about his stance regarding Marvel’s film contract and it seems that he isn’t at all tired of the new Cinematic Universe yet. That much was proven by a recent interview that he gave.
Captain America, until today, is one of the most recognisable figures in Marvel comics. He is still active in the comic book universe, even though it has been changed drastically thanks to the events of “Secret Wars” and despite the fact that Steve Rogers isn’t as young and spry as he used to be.
Superheroes and superhero teams, new and old, still turn to the ever reliable Steve Rogers for advice, even though the mantle of Captain America has now been taken up by his faithful friend, Sam Wilson a.k.a. Falcon.
True to his comic book counterpart, it seems like the Marvel Cinematic Universe Captain America or Steve Rogers, in the person of Chris Evans, is definitely here to stay,. Evans remains one of the actors in the multi-million film franchise who is vocal about his wishing to keep on making films for the comic book make as long as they would let him.
Last September 4, while being interviewed by Collider for his directorial debut film, “Before We Go,” Evans mentioned how he was hesitant to sign on as Captain America. Things have changed now as he is already ecstatic about the prospect of being the superhero for as long as he can, and in any way or form possible.
This was also seen during Entertainment Weekly’s recent visit to the set of “Captain America: Civil War,” where the actor informed them that he would be delighted to be part of “Iron Man 4” if it does actually happen.
Not much is known as of now about the status of a possible “Iron Man 4” movie and most of the plans for continuing the “Iron Man” franchise is fraught with speculation and rumour. Marvel Studios still has a full plate on their hands with the upcoming slated films.
