Everyone’s been wondering how the Civil War will take place when “Captain America: Civil War” releases next year. Until now everyone’s aware of the conflict and why this whole issue of superheroes fighting each other will arise. What most of us didn’t see was one newly inducted “Avengers” member in the movie’s first promo art and that being Scarlet Witch. Elizabeth Olsen has the reason for her character not being seen there. Read on.
According to Cinema Blend, the actress recently revealed that her character would be the wild card in the movie’s civil war. The actress opened up about her character and stated that she has been doing ok post everything that has gone down.
“She’s OK. She’s doing alright. She’s confused, she’s conflicted. She’s found some people she thinks she connects with, but she’s doing alright. They released images of Team Cap and Team Iron Man. She wasn’t there. She’s always the wild card. I like being the wild card.” Olsen said.
Perhaps this is Scarlet Witch’s way of coping with the death of her brother back in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
Slash Film reported that she was not present on either side in the image that was recently shared. Despite that, one could see Agent 13 aka Sharon Carter for the first time fighting for the Captain’s side as she was stood proudly next to Captain America. Now the problem with Scarlet Witch being a wild card is that she could end up on any side in the war if she was to take part in it.
It would totally depend on her which side her ideologies connect to more, the Anti side or the Pro side. But she would most probably choose Captain’s side because until “Avengers: Age of Ultron” she and her brother blamed Tony for the death of their parents so she would not want to leave this opportunity.
On the other hand, she could also choose to stay away from the war completely because she recently lost her brother and would not be in the right state to fight another gruesome battle. Whatever the case be, it would still be quite interesting to see who would be on the receiving end of the Witch’s telekinetic powers.
