Captain America: Civil War

Fans of  The Falcon may be seeing a major change when it comes to the hero’s sidekick. We do know that Sam Wilson, a.k.a. The Falcon has Redwing, a real falcon, that’s been helping him out. However, as The Falcon joins “Captain America: Civil War,” it seems like we won’t be seeing Redwing as major changes will be done to the bird.

A report from JoBlo.com, via CinemaBlend, said that the version of Falcon to appear in “Captain America: Civil War” won’t have the telepathic link to be able to communicate with birds. That is why Redwing will be played by a robotic drone that is mentally linked with the Falcon. Now, this got us thinking whether Tony Stark built the robotic Redwing or someone else gave it to the Falcon.

The addition of Redwing is a move that Marvel has taken to be able to bring Sam closer to his roots in the comic book. In “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” the Falcon wore his wings coming from his para-rescue days. We saw that it was largely made of pants and some regular t-shirt. Meanwhile, Falcon was wearing red and gray duds in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” which reminded us of his entire comic book look.

The report from CinemaBlend went on saying that Falcon would appear in “Captain America: Civil War” with grappling hooks and wrist lasers. He will still have those machine pistols that we last saw in 2014 and still remained armed to his wings.

Sam became a member of the team after his morning jog with Steve Rogers ended in a recruitment from the latter and Black Widow. The objective was to stop HYDRA after becoming one of the New Avengers. If the reports ended true, the Falcon will surely have a bird drone as his sidekick. Although Marvel has not confirmed the matter yet, we can see that Sam will be sticking closely with Steve. As they will still be looking for Bucky Barnes, having Redwing on their side will also be handy. However, we do think the comic book fans will be disappointed incase Redwing, the bird, will not be present in “Captain America: Civil War.”
