‘Captain America: Civil War:’ Sebastian Stan Hits Back At Zack Snyder For ‘Ant-Man’ Comment

Call it professional rivalry or friendly stabs, but it seems DC and Marvel has started a bit of a fight. Cleverly addressing Zack Snyder’s comments about “Ant-Man,” Sebastian Stan made sure a reply reaches the “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” director.

According to Cinema Blend, recently Zack Snyder called “Ant-Man” flavor of the month, which was obviously not going to go down well with loyal Marvel fans. Apparently, it also didn’t go down well with Sebastian Stan who plays Bucky Barnes in Marvel cinematic universe. The actor chose to reply to Zack’s comments about “Ant-Man” by stating that Marvel is still making something very original in their own way. With the entry of the Russos, things are shaping up and changing in a very unique way. The comeback in the reply was when the actor said that at least they are not trying to mimic a better Christopher Nolan movie. By saying that he was obviously referring to the fact that “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is simply trying to copy Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

He also added that “Captain America: Civil War” has been building upon events from “Captain America” and “Avengers” films. The media outlet added that “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is releasing only four years after “The Dark Knight Rises,” which does put it in the shadow of Nolan’s films. Even though there’s a huge difference between Ben Affleck’s Batman and Christian Bale’s Batman, fans would compare both the versions when they will sit down to talk about “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Collider added that Sebastian has probably misconstrued Zack’s comments as being aimed at “Ant-Man” the movie when in reality Zack was talking about the character Ant-Man, and how Batman and Superman would be more enduring. With comments from both the sides out, one can only expect that this war of words should not continue as both the sides have really good movies coming out next year, which the fans will surely enjoy a lot.
