Spider-Man has been the subject of discussion ever since his involvement in “Captain America: Civil War” was announced. Despite the fact that the movie finished shooting long time back, Spider-Man’s costume remains to be a mystery. From what is being said, the new Spider-Man suit might just have been revealed and it’s going old school.
According to Heroic Hollywood, Marvel held a special 15 minutes screening for one of the theater staff and it is being said that the footage that was shown included Tom Holland’s new Spider-Man suit. As Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige once said that they believe in using the source material, it seems, with the Spider-Man costume too, they will be referencing it from the classic Spider-Man suit that was used back in the 60’s.
This classic Spider-Man costume appeared in the “Spider-Man” comic books significantly in 1962 was used in “The Ultimate Spider-Man” animated cartoon. Upon launch of the costume, it instantly became a fan favorite as it had everything that you would want to see in “Spider-Man.”
It had this huge spider logo at the back and webbings stuck in the armpit area, which for some reason really gave it an edge. The media outlet too called the 1966 Spider-Man costume as one of the best and hoped that “Captain America: Civil War” will use a costume like that. Until now, it is a common knowledge that Iron Man is going to equip Spider-Man with the required gadgets when he joins the Pro-Registration side, so there are chances that we might get to see the Iron Spider suit, Peter sported for a brief period.
International Business Times added that Spider-Man is rumored to be using two costumes in “Captain America: Civil War,” which only gives weightage to the fact that one of them could be a present from Iron Man for joining the pro-registration side and the other one could be the classic 60’s costume of Tom Holland’s Peter. We can all hope to get a clearer picture when “Captain America: Civil War” trailer drops or if an official announcement about the costume is made.
