‘Captain America: Civil War’ Trailer Records a Milestone in Marvel

We have seen the trailer of “Captain America: Civil War” and it has impressed everyone to bits. The trailer has everything to show for, from mind blowing action scenes to catchy dialogues and some really serious ideological issues. But here’s something, which has already made the movie a big player in Marvel Studios.

They say a good movie is judged on its collections at the box office and a video/trailer is judged on the number of views. Any video crossing the million mark is normally considered a good one but what if it manages to get 61 million views in the first day itself? Its spectacular right? According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Captain America: Civil War” has done just that and set a Marvel record.

According to the media outlet, Marvel announced that “Captain America: Civil War” has the largest number of views for a debut trailer and has set a new Marvel record. When compared to other popular movies, “Captain America: Civil War” has beat the previous record holder “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” whose teaser had 55 million views. The movie’s debut trailer also beat the record of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” that had about 34 million views last year.

Even though “Captain America: Civil War” has the highest number of views in Marvel, when “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” released its trailer in October, in the first 24 hours itself, it had about 112 million views. For the Civil War trailer, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans made an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and introduced it.

Vine Report added that not much about the plot has been discussed but as expected Captain America will be leading one side of the team while Iron Man will be leading the other side. Iron Man will be using the Bleeding Edge armor to tackle Captain America as the latter himself happens to be an expert in combat. What comes as a surprise is that the way Captain was hitting Tony, it may have revealed that even Steve has a darker side. He did mention back in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” that Tony hasn’t seen his darker side yet.

“Captain America: Civil War” will release next year on May 6th.
