“Captain America: Civil War,” a movie which is basically loaded with depressing fights and allies pitted against each other, does come as a surprise when the Russo Brothers informed the movie would be funnier than its predecessor “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”
According to Cinema Blend, in a movie where the Government is hunting down Superheroes along with their former allies, one would not expect too much of humor to be included in it. However, in a recent interview, Russo brothers co-directors of “Captain America: Civil War,” described the movie as a psychological thriller along with having a certain funnier element to it.
According to what they stated, “Captain America: Civil War” has characters belonging from a world where the tone is lighter and since these characters aren’t really tied to the central arc of the movie, they can afford to be lighter.
So one can assume that when Russo brothers are talking about certain characters who happen to come from lighter background, they are referring to Ant-Man and Spider-Man to some extent. Funnyman Paul Rudd had quite the jokes going on in “Ant-Man,” and since Peter Parker is a school going kid in the movie, one wouldn’t expect him to be any serious and mature.
Even in one of the leaked promos, fans did get to see a funny moment from the movie. This happens when Scott Lang is brought in with a recommendation from the Falcon and meets Steve Rogers for the first time. A visibly surprised Scott fan boys over the fact that he is in fact standing in front of Captain America and the rest of the Avengers. He goes on to mention how big a fan he is and how glad he is to meet all of them.
Comicbook.com, on the other hand, added that Merchoid released the first look of their latest and highly anticipated Spider-Man hoodie after the previously announced “Captain America: Civil War” hoodie.
It looks modern, sport friendly and has messy web patterns all over it. Hopefully the makers will launch their first official look at Spider-Man’s suit in “Captain America: Civil War” before it releases on May 6th.
