“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” Film Synopsis:
As we have seen in “The Avengers,” Loki attempted to take over the Earth by creating his own army. Two years later, Black Widow and Captain America a.k.a Steve Rogers picked up the pieces where the Avengers left off. Moreover, another character got in the picture, The Falcon a.k.a. Sam Wilson.
A S.H.I.E.L.D (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division) colleague was attacked. Captain America, together with Black Widow, worked to solve the case. While Captain America struggled to keep the world safe from the villains, he was fighting his own enemies, as professional assassins were sent to kill him. They soon found out who was behind this evil scheme.
Nick Fury got in a car-chasing accident. When he reached the hospital, his heart has stopped functioning and could no longer be revived. But before Fury was taken out of the picture, he gave Rogers a piece of advice, “Don’t trust anyone.”
“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” Movie Review:
“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” has received positive reviews among the top critics of Rotten Tomatoes. In fact, it was given a 93% rating in the Tomatometer.
Stephen Whitty of Newark Star-Ledger has pointed out Captain America’s stronger drama twist.
“It chooses to avoid the easy gags and go for stronger drama by having Cap confront something he really wasn’t prepared for: A S.H.I.E.L.D. that seems to have lost its way, and may even have a few traitors buried deep inside it,” wrote Whitty in the Newark Star-Ledger article.
Meanwhile, The Wrap’s Alonso Duralde praised the movie for having the audience guessing and applying twists.
“Bounds along excitingly, keeping viewers guessing, launching some successful switcheroos and bringing real stakes to the game. The end results of this film should reverberate throughout the big- and small-screen “Avengers” universe in a way that most franchise entries would never dare,” said Duralde in The Wrap report.
