Castle was cancelled after running for a successful period of eight seasons and that ended up hurting a lot of fans, as Nathan Fillion’s Castle and Stana Katic’s Kate Beckett would no longer be seen.
Even though the show got cancelled and the actors moved on with their respective projects, lead star Nathan Fillion had something to say about the way Castle ended. For all those who remember, the end of the show seemed a bit abrupt with the time leap and not everyone was happy with it. Going by Nathan’s comments, it seems even he was not too happy with the way things ended.
TV Line reported that Nathan sat down to talk about the way Castle ended and going by his statements, the farewell given to the show and everyone involved in it was not too satisfying. Making his statement, Nathan mentioned that the ending that was given to the show, which included the time leap and three kids was not too perfect as it did not appear like a beautiful send-off for characters.
Elaborating on it, Nathan mentioned that it was not the ending anyone would have hoped for but since this is the entertainment business, he understands it and does not take it personally. His comments probably also come from the fact that the show did so much for him and that reflected in his statement too.
He mentioned that the good thing about the show was that he made a lot of great friends and is really grateful for what it did for him. As far as the cancellation is concerned, Nathan mentioned that he has a long list of canceled shows on his résumé.
As far as his other projects are concerned, Nathan has already made an appearance in Modern Family as Rainer Shine, the weatherman and will be seen in a cameo as Simon Williams in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. For all those who know, Simon Williams is also the other name of Marvel superhero and an Avenger called Wonder-Man.
