In the midseason finale of “Castle,” Kate apologizes to Rick for pushing him away from her life. She confesses that it was her LokSat investigation that kept her too busy that she forgot that he needed her. Kate also expresses her intentions to take Rick’s assistance in the drug cartel investigations, reports Christian Post.
The “Castle” midseason finale episode will show that though Rick didn’t want to forgive but finds himself finally forgiving his wife. As the duo return to work, they decide not to create any hubbub about their reconciliation and would rather stay mum. They want their colleagues to still live in the impression that they are still unfriendly with each other. Rick and Kate have decided to act like this because this would help them to concentrate on their work better as their personal life would not come intervening their jobs.
The showrunners of “Castle,” Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley have also lately had an interview to TV Line. In the interview, the two talked about the kind of relationship Kate and Rick share. They said that viewers would find it funny that the characters in the show are unaware of the reunion.
Hawley said, “What we love is that now that we’re twisting it so that they’re in it together but the public face of them is separate, that allows the audience to be in on the joke with them — in the sense that they can fight in public, but the audience knows it’s just an act. It is pretty delightful, having seen several of the episodes coming up.”
It has been learnt from the executive producers that the first episode of the “Castle” season 8 in 2016 named “Tone Death” is to wait for. In the episode viewers would giggle and chuckle a lot. Both Rick and Kate would still be hiding that they are together and it would lead to some kind of comical set-up.
“Castle” season 8 would air on February 1 on ABC at 10 p.m. EST.
