However, fear not, “Castle” fans, because, according to TV Line, that question has finally been resolved. Also, aside from this, according to Deadline, the show’s creative team underwent an interesting shake up that hopefully, will prove to be for the best for the eighth season of the show. According to an exclusive report on TV Line, Katic, who portrays Detective Kate Beckett on the show, has finally given an answer as to her status on the show.

According to the article, the “Castle” co-star has finally and officially signed on to be part of the next season. She renewed her contract to play the detective once again, at least for the upcoming season, as the deal that she had just signed was for one year.

Katic also took to Twitter, as she posted that she was “excited” for whatever the showrunners have in store for Beckett.

Meanwhile, according to Deadline, there have been some major changes in the creative team.

According to Deadline, show runner David Amann will no longer be a showrunner, and his shoes will be filled by Terence Paul Winter, who has been a writer for the show. This news came on the heels of ABC’s announcement that the show had been renewed for an eighth season.

However, the good news for “Castle” hasn’t ended yet, as it had just been announced on Deadline that Alexi Hawley, who had been an executive producer and co-showrunner for the recently axed show “The Following” on FOX, will be the newest addition to the creative team as Terence Paul Winter’s co-showrunner.
